2 take sth into consideration to remember to think about something important when you are making a decision or judgement: Your teachers will take your recent illness into consideration when marking your exams.
3 STH THAT AFFECTS A DECISION (C) something that you must think about when you are planning to do something, which affects what you decide to do: Political rather than economic considerations influenced the location of the new factory.
4 KINDNESS (U) the quality of thinking about other people's feelings and taking care not to upset them: out of consideration for: The murdered woman's name has not been released, out of consideration for her parents. | show consideration for: Jeff never shows any consideration for his mother's feelings.
5 of no consideration/of little consideration formal if something is of no consideration it is not at all important
6 in consideration of formal as payment for something: a small payment in consideration of your services
7 MONEY (singular) formal a payment for a service: for a small consideration: I might be able to help you, for a small consideration.
